Choosing songs that the artists have already made freely available, via MySpace or thesixtyone, is a way to increase those odds. A thought, though. People, *especially* comic shop folks, may be concerned about copyright issues (and, lately, for fairly good reason.) Heck, individual bands might not want individual tracks to be passed out free-as-in-beer. "For free" comps on the web (such as the one Hipsterplease.com did recently) would be a good for that, but it might help for the producer to get an explicit CC-BY-NC license (or similar) for the work. That way you could point anyone to it on the web if they questioned your right to distribute it. Interesting idea. A thought, though.
